Jan Šrámek är en visuell konstnär, illustratör och pedagog. Han tog examen från Fakulteten för bildkonst vid Tekniska universitetet i Brno, där han för närvarande driver Atelier Video tillsammans med Martin Mazanec. År 2014 deltog han i genomförandet av det tjeckoslovakiska paviljongen vid arkitekturbiennalen i Venedig. År 2017 och 2020 vann Šrámek Czech Grand Design-priset i kategorin Årets illustratör. Illustrationen för boken "That's metro, man!" valdes ut till den prestigefyllda utställningen som en del av International Children's Book Fair i Bologna 2020. Han är en författarduett med konstnären Veronika Vlková och är författare till illustrationerna och medförfattare till publikationerna Apolline’s Blue Workshop (2020), That's metro, man! (2019), Prague Visions (2017), Special circumstances (2016), Pioneers and Robots (2016), Glossary of Letná (2016), It's not enough to build houses (2015), Lost Perspective (2013). Hans verk har presenterats i gallerier och festivaler i städer som London, New York, Amsterdam, Seoul och Peking

EN Jan Šrámek is a visual artist, illustrator, and pedagogue. He gradueated the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Technology in Brno where he currently runs an Atelier Video together with Martin Mazanec. In 2014, he participated in the implementation of the Czechoslovak pavilion at the architecture biennale in Venice. In 2017 and 2020, Šrámek won the Czech Grand Design award in the category Illustrator of the year. Illustration for the book That's metro, man! were selected for the prestigious exhibition as part of the International Children's Book Fair in Bologna 2020. He is an author duo with the artist Veronika Vlková and is the author of illustrations and co-author of publications Apolline’s Blue Workshop (2020), That's metro, man! (2019), Prague Visions (2017), Special circumstances (2016), Pioneers and Robots (2016), Glossary of Letná (2016), It's not enough to build houses (2015), Lost Perspective (2013). His work has been presented in galleries and festivals in, for instance, London, New York, Amsterdam, Seoul, and Beijing.
