Don’t Be Afraid of Czech!
Would you like to learn Czech in a friendly, supportive environment with guidance from an experienced teacher? Join our online Czech courses and discover how enjoyable it can be to learn a new language step by step.
The courses are organised by the Czech Centre Stockholm and taught by native speakers with extensive experience in teaching Czech to non-native learners. Our focus is on communication, understanding, and using Czech confidently in real-life situations.
Online Czech Courses – Small Groups, Real Progress
The Czech Centre Stockholm offers group-based online Czech courses for students in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway.
We work with modern textbooks such as Čeština expres, and other up-to-date materials, always adapted to the level and needs of each group. Thanks to small class sizes, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to speak, ask questions, and truly develop your skills.
The courses are taught by Pavlína Peteříková in Czech and English. Classes take place in small groups of 4–10 students to ensure a comfortable, motivating learning experience.

About our teacher – Pavlína Peteříková
"In teaching Czech, I have found what truly fulfills me. I combine my love for my mother tongue with teaching foreigners, whose perspective on our language – and often on the world itself – is incredibly enriching for me. Every encounter with them opens up new perspectives and teaches me to see Czech through different eyes.
I enjoy the diversity of my working day: in the morning I teach Czech children at an elementary school, and in the afternoon I work with adult students from various parts of Europe who have decided to learn Czech. This combination brings me not only professional fulfillment, but also the joy of intercultural dialogue."
In addition to regular classes, students can also join the popular Zoom conversational club for learners of Czech.
This is a regular, theme-based online conversation club organized once a month by the headquarters of the Czech Centres for registered participants who sign up for a specific session.
Each session is led by two teachers to ensure dynamic interaction and active participation.
The conversation club is free of charge for all Czech language students across the network of participating Czech Centres abroad. The sessions take place on Zoom in the form of a low-threshold course. Participants receive tailor-made worksheets prepared by the teachers for each topic.
The aim of the project is to connect students from different centres abroad on one platform, in one virtual “classroom.” Each meeting focuses on the practical use of Czech in various situations, while also maintaining motivation and enthusiasm for learning.
