That is why farmers and winegrowers have always turned to this saint with a wish for good weather or for enough sunshine. People interpreted weather lore as lessons from previous experiences, they contributed to the understanding of the phenomena of the world around us. However, even predictions of weather lore are now uncertain, because the changes in the world around us are too quick. Water is the natural habitat of amazing cattails. Cattail´s character contains nurturing and life-giving aspects that help people in various situations. It is therefore essential to take care of the needs of not only the cattail, but also the entire landscape. Water is life. However, sometimes there is too much water at one moment and none the next. In the same way, nature takes the form of terrifying elements at one moment and is lovingly nurturing at the other. These perceptions and experiences led me to materialize human conservation, which is of course closely linked to the reverence of nature. Myten berättar hur den lille Medard blev överraskad av en fruktansvärd storm och ett kraftigt regn. Plötsligt dök en örn upp ovanför honom från ingenstans och spred sina vingar. Därför har bönder och vinodlare alltid vänt sig till denna helgon med en önskan om bra väder eller tillräckligt med solsken. Människor tolkade väderkunskap som lärdomar från tidigare erfarenheter och bidrog till förståelsen av fenomenen i världen omkring oss.
