The work explores how we become isolated when we don’t fit in to the binary social structure only containing two dichotomous, opposing categories. How we are seen, our sense of belonging and how spaces in-between can be created to host those feelings. Pushing the binary of the loom, the raising and lowering of threads, the two-dimensional, further. Finding ways of queering the warp into three-dimensional shapes. Through the manual labour of the weaving the body connects matter and material.

Verket utforskar hur vi blir isolerade när vi inte passar in i den binära sociala strukturen som endast innehåller två motsatta kategorier - hur vi uppfattas och vår känsla av tillhörighet. Hur kan mellanrum skapas för att rymma dessa känslor? Verket försöker hitta sätt att utmana vävens binära natur, att lyfta och sänka trådarna, att förvandla det tvådimensionella till tredimensionella former. Genom den manuella arbetskraften i vävningen förenas kroppen med materialen.
