ENG: Time, texture, tempo; composition, color, change; simplicity, structure, spinning; light, life, linen: I explore these themes through weaving by hand. My work ’(bok) No.31’ is an ode to the book as an object. Inspired by old archived linen cloth, it is a meditation on how the smallest of changes- in words, actions, or colours and threads- can alter each page as a whole. Handwoven and embroidered. Linen warp, linen, cotton and paper weft. Dyed with black tea.
